Defence in the year 1939
2010The Waalbrug in Nijmegen during the occupation in 1944. A concrete barrier to block traffic. 'Defence in the year 1939' is the title of the original photo.

2010Operation Market garden. The crossing of the Waal at Nijmegen by a unit of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Once a house
2010A house once stood here. The parental home of my father which had to be demolished because of a bombing in WWII.
